Welcome to the world as seen through my eyes.
I have been a photojournalist for the past 25 years, working for a number of newspapers and magazines that include The Chicago Sun Times,The Chicago Tribune and ESPN The Magazine. Inspired by a chance meeting of world renown photographer Gordon Parks Sr., while serving in the U.S. Army back in 1977. After an honorable discharge,I landed an internship at The Beacon News in Aurora, Illinois and have been shooting ever since.
The environmental portraiture is the medium I enjoy working in most. Using composition and light to capture the soul of an individual in a visually compelling, pleasing and interesting way.
